Today is the first #screenshotsaturday of the year--an image of testing in the new game engine!

That's right, we switched game engines from Cloudnovel to VN Maker.

 Why?

Sonya, the creator of Cloudnovel, had made some ableist and just very not-okay tweets and views that we, OBP and The Last Clan Team, do not share. So we thought it best we look for a new engine. 

VN Maker is an engine that doesn't require any coding to make a basic game, which was right up our alley. While it has some bugs it is generally more stable for players with Windows + Mac and even mobile ports. (We'd love to see TLC on mobile devices!) 

While work is being continually done on the script (there's three writers total) I'm in charge of putting it all together in the new engine. You can expect to see a new, stable version of the demo this month. 

As for 2021 plans there's a lot we have in store! Please keep your eyes peeled for an announcement this spring. This includes the possibility of partial voice acting for the game! (No promises, but we'd love to see the characters come more to life!)
